Team Sahlen helped celebrate Jackie Robinson Day at the Atlanta Braves – Kansas City Royals Game yesterday. The Team Sahlen Grand-Am took to Turner Field Tuesday night, driving a lap around the home of the Braves to the applause of 26,400 enthusiastic fans.
Before the game, Team Sahlen driver Dane Cameron was signing autographs next to the red, black and yellow Number 42 Daytona Prototype in a stadium parking lot. Just before the seventh inning, Cameron took to the field, revving the engine as the crowd cheered on.
“It was really neat and must have made for some awesome photos. It was pretty wild being in front of the gate waiting to go on the field, I’ve never been that close on a Major League Baseball field like that before,” Cameron said. “Everyone seemed to be on their feet and everyone seemed to like it,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll see them out at Road Atlanta this weekend.”
